That particular package was reported sold for $41,800 at Mecum's auction in North Little Rock, AR, on June 16, 2012. The article goes on to say that a more typical result for "lesser" Prowlers might be $20,000 to $35,000. Repeating their definition of "lesser" Prowlers, that could include, for example --- higher miles, a less than mint condition, or "personalization" of the car (i.e., one which has been customized) --- "unless you are a member of KISS". As the saying goes, "Your results may vary", but I thought some of you might find this article interesting. And here lies the reason we don;t see a market trend to the higher side for these unique, limited production, and rare cars ... always "too high priced", "I wouldn't pay a premium". So long as this mentality exists, we can't hope to see our beloved Prowler seek the ranks of such famous Mopars as the original Super Bees, Hemi Cuda's, etc ... IMO, of course. Congrats to the seller I've heard someone say in the past: Yes, I do ... do you, as a newbie, realize how you have bashed so many people selling thier cars, or aution prices on these cars, since you have joined POA? The statement above is spot on ... they are worth what they will bring in cash today ... Some have refered to the Prowler as rolling art ... some thought the same of the Lamborghini Countach, maybe still do ... in any event ... they both can be driven often, as many have, or parked in a showroom to collect dust, as some have ... to each their own, but the point being, as an "art piece", I sure would like to see my work appreciate ... wouldn't you? This message has been edited by NRVOUS on 09-27-2012 at 06:25 PM Exactly. Very simple. ------------------ It's OK to discuss the values of our cars. If you're not interested in that, that's ok, but many are interested in talking dollar values. It's OK to discuss the values of our cars. If you're not interested in that, that's ok, but many are interested in talking dollar values. Ok. I don't worry about what it's worth or going to be worth. I just drive it and enjoy it. Say, Nervous person ... name calling is against the site's TOS ... please avoid this reoccurring behavior No need to be jealous, have one of my own ... the fastest color too, yellow No need to be jealous, have one of my own ... the fastest color too, yellow SHOW CAR The above article focuses on a red, almost like factory-new-condition, 1999 Plymouth Prowler, which came with only 837 miles on it, and a matching factory trailer. beachcat Sounds about right to me in the current economy. NRVOUS Seems high to me. I have seen low mileage 99's for between 24,500-26,000k sure not 843 miles but I don't think I'd want to pay such a premium for that low of a mileage car, IMO.Plus add another 6k for a trailer your hovering in that low 30k range. quote:

Drive it and enjoy it and then buy another one while you can still afford it. It is worth what it will bring in CASH,,,TODAY!
Apparently the auction brought together a seller, and a buyer, of similar likes and thoughts .....ed monahan I guess that proves that your "investment" sucks. Drive it, enjoy it and then sell it and get a low mileage from another "investor". NRVOUS Do you even read what you write, LOL. quote:
